Transplantation Proceedings is pleased to announce that we will once again receive manuscripts for consideration for publication in conjunction with the 2008 International Congress of the Transplantation Society to be held in Sydney, Australia August 10-14, 2008.

Please be aware that during the submission process you will be asked to select an Article Type. It is important that you select “International Transplantation Society Congress 2008” as the article type. Selecting “New Clinical Submission” will result in your manuscript being processed as an original work not associated with the meeting.

Before continuing the manuscript submission process please be sure that your manuscript adheres to either the ITSC08 Special Guidelines or our Clinical Guidelines for Original Works manuscripts not associated with any meeting..

Before submitting a manuscript please familiarize yourself with the registration process, submission instructions, and system requirements listed below.

First-time users: Please click the "Register" button from the menu above and enter the requested information. Upon successful registration, you will be sent an e-mail with instructions to verify your registration.

  • NOTE: If you received an e-mail from us with an assigned user ID and password, DO NOT REGISTER AGAIN. Just login.

Repeat users: Please click the "Login" button from the menu above and proceed as appropriate.

Authors: Please click the "Login" button from the menu above and login to the system as "Author." Then submit your manuscript and track its progress through the system.

  • Please be sure your original works manuscript adheres to our Clinical Guidelines before continuing the submission process.
    • Also note that at this time manuscripts may only be submitted using Editorial Manager for consideration in an upcoming CLINICAL ISSUE of Transplantation Proceedings. If you wish to submit a manuscript to us as part of the proceedings of a meeting please contact the organizers of the meeting for instructions and approval.

    Reviewers: Please click the "Login" button from the menu above and login to the system as "Reviewer." You may view and/or download manuscripts assigned to you for review or submit your comments to the editor and the authors.

    To change your username and password: Login to the system and select "Update My Information" from the menu above. At the top of the Update My Information screen, click the "Change Password" button and follow the directions. If you've forgotten your password, click the "Login" button from the menu above and click "Forget Your Password?" at the bottom of the Login screen and follow the directions.

Manuscript Submission

Revision Submissions

Text and Tables: Supported formats include Word, WordPerfect, RTF, and Excel. Do not upload PDF or LaTeX files, we cannot edit them.


Graphics: Prepare files using grayscale unless you will pay for color printing in journal. Small (low-resolution) files are needed for review on line; please send the minimum file size compatible with adequate visualization on screen. Supported formats include EPS, GIF, JPEG, PICT, Postscript and TIFF. You may also use Word or PowerPoint. If you have the graphic only in print form, it should be scanned into a computer so that it can be added to the electronic file for peer review.

NOTE: High-resolution graphics (TIFF, EPS or high-quality prints) will be required for publication after a manuscript is accepted.


Items that require signature: Certain forms must be printed, signed and faxed or sent by post to the Editorial Office.


When everything is ready: After LOGIN click AUTHOR and SUBMIT NEW MANUSCRIPT. You will be guided to enter all of the required information and upload your text and graphics files. Be sure that all required (*) components are present in the required order (you can rearrange them using the on-screen up and down arrows). Then click "Send"; and the system will prepare for peer review a single PDF file containing all of your uploaded components. Please be patient while the PDF is being built as it may take several minutes. Do not click the "Back" button on your browser as it may corrupt the process forcing you to begin again.

Author approval: You will be notified by e-mail (usually within a few minutes) when the PDF is available for your review. It should look exactly like a paper manuscript that would be sent by mail.
If a session is interrupted: Your work will be saved as an "Incomplete Submission"; so that you can resume where you left off.
